  • What is AmerSeal® Tire Sealant?

AmerSeal® is a ready‑to‑use, industrial‑strength tire sealant—no mixing required. It’s 100% water‑soluble and non‑hazardous, intended to seal punctures up to 1/4″ on regular tires and 3/4″ on heavy duty tires, plus most rim and bead leaks, across temperatures from –45 °F to over 200 °F. Safe for all tire types and wheel materials, it ships globally and meets EPA disposal standards.

  • How do I install AmerSeal®?

    1. Remove the valve core and hold your finger over the opening to minimize air loss.
    2. Attach the injector pump hose to the valve stem and pump the recommended amount—no mixing or shaking needed.
    3. Afterward, replace the valve core and inflate the tire to the proper pressure.
    4. If punctured, remove the object and drive a short distance immediately to let the seal form completely.

  • How much sealant do I need per tire?

The required volume depends on tire size. Detailed guidelines are provided in the Tire Application Guide, but typical formulas include:
    - Autos/Light Trucks: (Tire Height × Width) ÷ 27 oz
    - Heavy Trucks/Semis/Buses: (Height × Width) ÷ 10 oz
    - Off‑Road Tires: (H × W) ÷ 5 or ÷10 based on speed and use

  • What types of punctures can AmerSeal® seal?

AmerSeal® works effectively on most punctures up to ¼″ in the tread, and larger punctures in heavy‑ply tires, up to 3/4”. It also seals bead and rim leaks and prevents dry‑rot and corrosion.

  • Will it damage tires or void the warranty?

No. AmerSeal® stays pH neutral over the lifespan of the tire and will not corrode wheels or void tire warranties. It’s non‑corrosive, non‑flammable, and does not require mixing.

  • How long does the sealant remain effective?

Once installed, AmerSeal® remains active for the full life of the tire. It’s homogeneous and doesn’t separate over time.

  • Can it fix slow leaks?

Yes—slow leaks caused by small punctures are typically sealed by AmerSeal®. For persistent or large leaks, a tire service professional may still be required.

  • At what temperatures does it work?

Our sealant performs reliably from –45 °F all the way to over 200 °F, making it ideal for harsh climates and heavy industrial use.

  • Where is AmerSeal® made and shipped from?

AmerSeal® is manufactured in Clay Center, Kansas by American Sealants Company. It’s the world’s leading premium tire sealant and is exported to over 100 countries.
